had been following them on instagram @artico.20 since the start but did not readily envisioned being one day featured on their feed!
one of the many good things that have come to life during and despite this troubled year, is a local artists collective that sprang into action in response to the covid19 pandemic, offering a supportive net for fellow artists and makers. had been following them on instagram @artico.20 since the start but did not readily envisioned being one day featured on their feed! so I'll be up there for the full week of december 6 through 12, go check it out and enjoy the ride, each day is a new post and a new image... Single or in colorful combinations, the time for the Stick Pendants is now. As with all of my work and in trying to keep things as simple a possible - especially in these difficult times, cannot not point out these simple pendants this week. Each pendant comes on either a 36 inch or a 42 inch black cotton cord, play with the two sliders on the cord to adjust into various lengths and styles for personal preferences. They also have a nice feel to them, a good comforting weight anchoring down the task at hand of the daily. Adjust the feel to your personal liking.
They are intriguing just one-on-one. Even more so in twos... After a long long hiatus, one of these gaps in time that never seem to reconcile, this week I have been rejoicing in stocking up on some vermeil again, like the best-seller classic Hoops below. For the super minimal, the black and white option, super classic in style, perfect match for simplicity. And copper, and brass, colors of autumn or for an end of season. There you go... got Hoops?
cold is here. as a matter of fact there is a foot of snow blanketing my jeep outside. everything is blinding white. it's time to stock up on a few basic things, firewood, thick rolled oats, beans of course. then there are the other basics, simple daily pleasures to walk along with you in the day. and to keep the fire going... so, stocking up on things like these coil rings, in the golden vermeil, finger rings, scarf sliders... or in simple black and brushed silver, quite minimal to fit right under those warm winter gloves!
back to their new selves, after a long state of limbo.. the coil rings are now back and fully in stock in all the 3 finishes, brushed silver, black silver and (drum roll) vermeil!! and (another drum roll...) the hoops are also back in stock in the long-awaited vermeil finish!
it has been a rollercoaster putting these together over the last several months and i am now so so so happy to announce they are back. at last. here is another quick peek into the jewelry closeout sale coming up in just a few weeks: bit pendant part of the sale in the black+gold collection, this is the last one of a set of 3 pendants, a minimally pierced disk of black sterling silver with just a tiny bit of 18k gold to spice things up, just a bit. stay tuned to be alerted when the sale launches!
as a subscriber of my collector list, you get to shop the sale two hours ahead of everyone else and you don't want to miss this, things sell out fast! so, sign up and check your email these next couple of weeks when you'll get your exclusive link to the sale!.... months of uncertainties have been piling up, we do not know what is happening next. bring my thoughts back to my work, the bench, what needs to be done, slices earrings, in progress. and after a few days, got a bunch to shoot, tedious work of quite a few hours... and then, they are ready to go!
along the way this march picked up some 'old' work sitting around on the bench, put these together, little sterling silver cubes. they are tiny, super light despite their 'cubeness' and they definitely stand out!
some one of a kind mini work ready for a customer, who grabbed them on the go... sometimes we are prepared, sometimes we are not... so it's time to pin something down this fall, time to not let it all blow away... time to do it in a bold way, time to do it in daring contemporary style, time to do it in vivid colors. so, advice for everyone to be ready for the gusts of fall, the scarf that blows over your shoulders, the pin on a lapel you have handy, to keep it all in place. just playing with jewelry and combinations of color to be in tune with this month, had fun playing with putting colors together, a black+orange line-up came out of it and is the main theme for the rest of the month. all i can see is black+orange and nothing else seems to stick to mind...
