I am fully exploring the look and feel of this new Hearts. Simple in shape, bright in contemporary colors, big and small, with medium in between and a couple of more style options....I am telling you, you can find your Hearts in this collection! It's golden summer colors for these hot summer nights and days, and here is something to take along with you.
Despite the heat, these Hearts are very cool (and very light) to wear! I had to start my day right this morning and wanted to post this shot of me wearing some of my latest new work: Big Hearts Earrings in black silver and a long black Simple Heart Pendant to match.  It's already hot early in the morning, so I am showing them off on a faded green top that has seen deeper colors...but you get the picture.

I can't even remember how long the twisted+wires jewelry collection has been around...let's say, a couple of decades? It started as joyful playtime with copper, brass and silver wires long ago, and it kept going strong, all these years. After all the recent swirling changes and curved balls of life hitting the ground, I made a very resisted decision to retire this jewelry line from retail sales. It is, after all, time to let it rest.  All I can now say is: don't miss it! (grin) Short and sweet...how about some cool jewelry to keep things fresh, despite the heat? I think of Hearts....seriously. How else could you respond to all the rough times life, the world of people, politics, the personal, the political? I am quick at shape associations, a word for a gesture, a feeling or just simply a tool, to aid on the path, of everything, to everything.  And then I think of 'walking sticks', everyday tools that help the going along the way, like these simple little pleasures...in vibrant colors for every mood.
So here we go, this is me in the studio, playing model with my Swinging Coil Earrings! No frills. But those earrings are so light and fun to wear and I just keep them on these days, as I churn a few more and snap shots...
This IS a rare peek into my studio and surroundings, and I am sharing it here today, sooo... Spring cleaning is in the air, regardless of the weather showing otherwise and the world longing for peace... I reworked these earrings below, made them even more irresistible than before, and so so light to wear! Of course, big is key, and all the colors they come in. But most importantly, they swing! The Season of the Heart continues and it's full-blowing...and I have to admit, I resisted the hearts ALL those seasons! But not anymore, today I am out of the closet and I bring hearts with me! Been enjoying myself in the studio these past few weeks, defying the cold, no firewood, and the broken space heater that sat next to me, nonetheless, pretending. Can you resist them? Didn't think so...
It is July and it is Summer, at last... After a scattered Winter, after an indecisive Spring, we are smack in the middle of this year and pushing ahead. The bench has been crowded, new work waiting to be completed and new orders ready to go. This week I took a look at the Slices collection and while the new additions are still a bit hesitant and awaiting the final touches, thought these earrings below could be the perfect match for bright Summer pairings.
