this summer is coming on fast and hot. we want to feel that cooling breeze on the skin, breathe in the simple air and enjoy the sunshine days. and color, still, the ones in between, when things take on a milder shade of grey... well, i've got the perfect pendants for that!

well, it's almost summer and a breezy summer day today indeed. and these are in-becoming.
adding a larger size to the classic and ageless, ubiquitous hoop.
always in season, these are the super classic hoop, in color and with fun!
have been 'testing these out' myself quite a bit lately...forgetting to have them on at times.
and wondering...surprised. i almost never wear earrings (i just make them), but there are a few exceptions, and these are one of them.
yes, even the large(er) size will be super lightweight, and yet, big enough to tip the line into a little more of daring...so do!

into spring and looking ahead.
lots of work on the bench and the new slices collection is steadily growing.

the slices are coming!
I have been playing around with strips of brass and came up with some simple but pretty striking square earrings.: the big square slices are 'simple geometry with dramatic proportions' (they are 2" squares), extremely lightweight to wear making a very distinctive statement....dare a little!

Since the beginning of the year these new earrings have been best sellers the minute I released them out to the world. many people have also been asking about a smaller version of these bold earrings, and so.... introducing below the slightly smaller version of the squares, still big enough for a decisive impact, but taking a bit of the 'big' edge off in a 1.75" square.

from the early feedback i am receiving it seems that these are the perfect choice for someone who wants to be brave and fearless at the same time, but in a just a smaller scale. as the bigger version, they come in black brass and in yellow brass.

this ribbon ring found its person the other day.
she came right to it, as if an inaudible calling was emanating form the ring, displayed in a not so prominent position between two necklaces...

busy months in the studio, new work reaching completion in cycles, tending to the old and tending to the new...and after long and endless reviews, time has come to say goodbye to a few 'old timers'.

in between breaks, wanted to share a quick view of where all the action happens: my studio!
one of my work benches, this one custom built, with heavy oak planks, all the way from italy.
big bench, rolling mills, drawbench (in the background, against the wall) for drawing wire (pulling, that is) through profile plates, for churning out metal wire and tubing in all shapes and forms, and the bench cutter right next to it.

a couple of weeks ago while looking for silver to melt, i found more treasures!
a few pieces of experimental work and 'studies' in sterling silver and 18K gold from way way back.
bit is one of 3 pendants i pulled out from that re-discovered pouch and refreshed by sliding it onto a simple black cotton cord, complete with 2 tube sliders to match for easy adjustment of length and pendant style.
