a few weeks ago i was in a desperate need for silver... so went looking for it.
after rummaging for a while through old boxes, patiently awaiting review after the last studio move, i found a few old experimental cast pieces, tucked away in a small pouch.
one of them, was untitled, a very tactile piece.
it had a good weight to it.
i had cast it decades ago, gifted it to my then 99 year old grandmother and gotten it back when she passed, a few years later.
the sign was clear: time for some much needed transmutation!
after due and proper ceremonies, here is what happened to 55 grams of untitled cast fine silver:

just a week into their launch, these colorful summer pendants are having a splash!
people love playing with the matching sliders, giving each pendant a personal style. as always, the possibilities are endless.
am thinking, there will be bundles and sets coming...
they are just irresistible to go it alone, but once you have one on...it seems, something calls for more..

also, now available in 2 lengths, with a choice of a 36" or a 42" black waxed cotton cord, depending on how you play with the sliders, you can go from a chocker bolo-style pendant to a long grazing elegant look.
and last but not least: the fun + function of it all!
still looking for those glasses? now you can pair up a few things and have a colorful and stylish eyeglasses pendant for an everyday companion.

and, in case you were wondering, the stick pendants work just as well, and with a touch of different....

so it looks like summer is on a roll again, heat waves, sunshine and sudden storms....and amidst rain-longings and desert openness, here comes some new work, ready to roll along, with it, in simplicity.
starting with bright summer colors, a new addition to the twisted and wires line is just about ready to go, official launching happening next week, and cannot wait!
in the meantime, a quick shot from the first batch of the NEW summer pendants in copper and brass finishes, complete with sliders to match and adjust to desired length on the black cotton cord.

NEW summer pendants: circle and sticks in copper and brass finishes
adding to the bunch the brushed silver today - makes me think of full moons on summer nights...or simple blacks and whites.
circle and stick pendants on black cotton cord
as for the black on black....been experimenting with 'shades of black', black copper, black brass. on silver is still the blackest. but again, still playing with it.... stay tuned.
one thing is for sure: it will be black.

getting into a good working rhythm after all the recent delays and, ahhh, it feels really good!
as warm up exercises in the studio the other week, i could not resist to play with some 'by product' of past makings that have been sitting in a cornet on my bench for a while....
not sure what, but for now i am cutting them open!
re-purposing....
new TW pendants in progress
these at left here are what's really going at the bench right now.
just a rough pre-view of what it's soon become, a new addition to my twisted and wires line...but really, just like this picture and wanted to put it out here as a quick visual reminder.
another quick change to this collection is a
're-working' of the coil ring.
almost by popular demand, this ring now comes in copper and brass, along with the three sterling silver finishes already available.
the brass style is a lemon yellow color (heat on brass patina) and the copper ring is a deep orange, with occasional red accents (heat on copper patina)
the ring is also made in slightly thinner wire and is lighter to wear (and lighter in price too!)
plus...they are fun to make!

this month marked some serious digging through old inventory while focusing on the new...really needed to make room for it.
so, pulled out a few pieces and celebrated 'retired times' in a studio sale not to miss.

the two items above are among what's still available in this sale right now, but things change quickly so should you have an eye out for something special, make sure you peek in regularly into my studio sale page and see what surprise is (still) there.
just so much on the bench right now, happy to see some clearing!
organized focus MUST BE the next step, will see what that brings...stay tuned.

Pulled these out a little while ago, early experimentations for the twisted&wires collection.
Just and only four of them, two in copper and two in brass. Decided to slide them onto a simple black rubber cord (or two) for easy wear and a funky contemporary look...
These pendants can be worn in a short or long style.
But really, got new things coming out, keeping to simple shapes, see where that goes..
Could not resist to share a quick preview in the raw, and behind the scenes:
the soon-to-be new pendants to join the twisted&wires collection.
Here, to the left, in a preliminary stage of finishing...hanging from their strings in the anticipated sense of weightless depth...can't wait to see the color combinations!

Since introducing this simple pin style into the twisted&wires collection this past summer, the arc pin has been boldly venturing out into the world, pinning down the fall breeze on quite a few scarves, definitely a couple of warm winter coats and at least one hat!
Arc pins - long style/black finish and short style/brushed st. silver
