Spirit 2 found its home, at last, early this month.
In fact, it all started and ended on a Wednesday, June 1, when this one-of-a-kind necklace was picked up from its display case, almost in a sweeping gesture, by an unassuming customer on a showroom visit.

It all happened so quickly,
I did not have time to fully grasp the sudden departure of a beloved piece, the second of a series of 3 unique necklaces, all with the spirit of late summer colors in mind.
Back from the earliest playful experiments and through the years, evolution and simple variations on a theme, always and forever late summer colors mood.

And now there is number 3, medley of copper and silver elements with heat hues and splashes of black patina to play with along a bead silver chain in colorful arrangements.

Not much into hearts, but have made a few in the years past.
Looking into my slide folders (remember those?), I just re-discovered a full selection of them, earrings and pins and pendant and necklaces...Played around a bit with a cheap slide scanning app on my phone and here's a couple of shots, all sold long ago.

This one I remember, it sold in a flash at a gallery in Louisville/KY - heat patina on copper, a sterling silver bead chain with a sterling silver clasp.
Someone had taken a bit bite out of it...

And then there is this one, possibly the most precious of them all.
Sister to the copper one above and the only one left from my hearts experiments, this is a stunning necklace with strong impact.
It has a heart pierced in sterling silver, it has that bite in warm yellow 18k gold to accentuate the piece with memory, and it all hangs from a sterling silver snake chain, with a sterling silver toggle&bar clasp for no-fuss wearing.

I sat at the bench for a few hours this week and made a ring.
Nothing fancy, just experiments in simple designs to add to my twisted and wires collection, but I did lose myself in all the possibilities, making rings has always been one of my favorite pieces to make.

And then lost myself even further when I got a picture of this ring below, and and couldn't resist a little dip into memory lane...

This ring is long gone. A dear collector from Arizona took it home with her years ago...

As far as the new experiments in simple ring-making, stay tuned!

Having real fun with these new Black and White jewelry line and am adding a few more pieces for the official launch mid June on my online store.
Everything is one of a kind work, unique earrings and pendants, scribblings on silver, each piece signed and numbered.

My collectors list gets live launch link and an 'advantage' of 1 hour for shopping this statement Black and White Graffiti jewelry collection first over the general public...jump on board below to get yours!
This work was pre-launched and tested with just a handful of pieces for a virtual platform in May and it sold fast...

Another month almost gone, so much on the bench, having a hard time splitting myself between the (ohh, too many!) things in progress in trays, scattered all over the studio.
But this is an ongoing-mode, as I seem not to be able to avoid it...wanting to do it all, yesterday.

Today some quick notes on my studio treasure hunts of old work, have been re-shooting each single piece and adding some 'contest' and settings as visual connections...
One of the WATER pin set, hand scribblings on silver, pinned to my black woolen sweater and a book that connects the two.
I have recurring themes, sudden yearnings of making things done before, visual references and source of inspiration for the new.
Pre-launched five pieces for the Black+White Artico show ending this month with great response, above a quick shot of the Black and White Graffiti Earrings 5 - one of the pieces still available at the show, as of today.

Got very excited about this new work, so have added another tray to my pile...got some new chain for some new pendants for the graffiti series...will see how fast I can clone myself.

13 magic days until the end of a successful Black+White show, and just in case (just in case) you missed it so far, check it out now!
These earrings sold a couple of days ago and have gone to two very happy people...
...but there are still a few one of a kind pieces available, like just one pair of the earrings below!

I had great fun playing around and improvising with these first black and white jewelry experiments for a BlacK+White Graffiti series, and was happy to launch five pieces on Artico this month!
And, among what's left, a pendant too...

These go back a long while...1990, to be precise.
The writing on metal is not completely new to me, like these fun experiments with scribbling and marking and punching brass, copper and sterling silver into wearable wall pieces.

So pulled out these out of storage and thinking (maybe) of putting them on the online store later this summer.
Each set is 3 wearable brooches, each one you can wear on yourself for a very sculptural and unique jewelry statement.
When not on the body they are a stunning piece for the wall in an art-loving home.

Hi, welcome to my jewelry blog!

I make simple, colorful and bold jewelry for a contemporary ageless and fun style.
Have been doing this for quite sometime...pretty sure this is what I want to do when I grow up!

Here I jot down thoughts and notes and pictures of work in the making, both in my mind, on paper and on the bench.

for bench updates and exclusive previews...
