With some room-to-move in the new space, I have begun pulling out boxes of work in progress and reviewing old pieces.

These 3 necklaces are from an old series called 'Indian Summer' I started several decades ago...
I go around in circles at times, spiraling into progress, and revisit often past designs to add, subtract and give them new life.

Spirit 1 Necklace (1990)

This one was the first one I made and it sold in a flash at Galerie Aurum in Frankfurt, Germany... From my notes at that time, it's sterling silver, copper, brass and tiny bits of tube beads as spacers in between, on an oxidized sterling silver chain.

Spirit 2 Necklace followed in 2011.

No brass this time, just sterling silver and copper hollow forms with various color finishes and patinas on a sterling silver bead chain. Part of the elements that can be freely arranged around the chain, is a copper tag with year, title of piece and signature.

Spirit 3 Necklace (2011)

Sprit 3 Necklace is the third of the series and last one. Copper and sterling, stained or heat patinas for this handful of simple elements on the sterling silver bead chain. The tag with piece information sticks out on the upper right corner..

jewelry notes from the bench

Hi, welcome to my jewelry blog!

I make simple, colorful and bold jewelry for a contemporary ageless and fun style.
Have been doing this for quite sometime...pretty sure this is what I want to do when I grow up!

Here I jot down thoughts and notes and pictures of work in the making, both in my mind, on paper and on the bench.

for bench updates and exclusive previews...
