Keep testing the ground of renewed outdoor little events, this one was last month at the ArtWalk Santa Fe Desert Party. Music was very loud (hence my grimacing face) and we got rained on a bit, but I made it through it! Can't remember who took these shots, but you can see some new Recycled Paper Magnets in the back... And these two shots from the El Zaguan event on Canyon Road, the garden was a beautiful colorful refuge, just a level above my booth setup, but forgot to take some pictures.
But anyway, work on display with a full collection of Recycled Paper Earrings swinging in the summer breeze and the Recycled Paper Magnets in prominent position. One of the new venues I am trying is ArtWalk Santa Fe, a series of events throughout the city. This one was at Cafecito, a hip cafe hidden behind a busy intersection of not-so-downtown, but a gem of a place and super friendly environment. We set up on the parking lot and it was a fun day! Booth shots and closeup of some Recycled Paper Pendants...
These past couple of months have been dense with 'stuff happening' (mostly life), and time has been of essence. I have been drawn to making some quick pieces, relatively less time/tool-consuming and still granting some emotional and spiritual relief. I dragged the recycled paper box next to the bench and looked into it. I plucked out bits of saved carboard, old magazines paper cuttings and strips of random paper and came up with some magnets, or... more Recycled Paper Work! Three big magnets are ready to stick to any metallic surface and hold some things in place.
