Went up the mountains the other day for a walk, hiking over ridges and under huge sunburned rocks, wind twirling through cottonwood falling leaves, stark simplicity and in tune with the turquoise sky. A Bar Neckwire for Fall, conveying essence in simple lines of color. These are very simple and minimal necklaces on a sterling silver cable, a perfect colorful pairing to a changing season, and an optimal piece of jewelry that impresses even on a winter and fall outfit.
See all the available color options on my online store! I sat at the bench for a few hours this week and made a ring. Nothing fancy, just experiments in simple designs to add to my twisted and wires collection, but I did lose myself in all the possibilities, making rings has always been one of my favorite pieces to make. And then lost myself even further when I got a picture of this ring below, and and couldn't resist a little dip into memory lane... This ring is long gone. A dear collector from Arizona took it home with her years ago...
As far as the new experiments in simple ring-making, stay tuned! As I was talking to someone the other day, the phrase 'the future is uncertain, and the end is always near' - Jim Morrison's words, came to mind. But it always, and in almost any circumstance, brings back the attention to what in life that stays, what goes. Nothing deep in an everyday object like a simple bangle, and yet...it could be another one of those keepers.
These go back a long while...1990, to be precise. The writing on metal is not completely new to me, like these fun experiments with scribbling and marking and punching brass, copper and sterling silver into wearable wall pieces. So pulled out these out of storage and thinking (maybe) of putting them on the online store later this summer. Each set is 3 wearable brooches, each one you can wear on yourself for a very sculptural and unique jewelry statement. When not on the body they are a stunning piece for the wall in an art-loving home. Water: a 3-pins wall piece in sterling silver and brass, with scribbling, green patina on brass and random piercings. Earth: a 3-pins wall piece in hues of copper and brass, with scribbling and random piercings.

I make simple, colorful and bold jewelry for a contemporary ageless and fun style. Have been doing this for quite sometime...pretty sure this is what I want to do when I grow up! Here I jot down thoughts and notes and pictures of work in the making, both in my mind, on paper and on the bench. For more...tune in and keep the surprise going... archives
